Easy Taco Salad

Tasty Taco Salad!

You don’t have to wait until Taco Tuesday to enjoy.

The sky’s the limit as to what to add to this easy taco salad recipe.
It’s a super quick recipe that will become a family favorite. It’s so versatile that you can add ground beef, chicken, shrimp, or with only veggies. If dining Al fresco with friends, we suggest serving it with Eppa, Yellow Tail, Capriccio, or De La Costa Sangria.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef or any other protein
  • 1 package taco seasoning or homemade
  • 1 cup black beans drained and rinsed

Salad

  • 6 cups romaine or iceberg lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1 cup tortilla chips
  • ½ cup salsa or pico de gallo
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

  • Brown beef over medium heat until no pink remains. Drain any fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and ½ cup water. Simmer 5 minutes or until thickened. Stir in beans.
  • Place lettuce in a large bowl (or individual bowls). Top with meat, tomatoes, cheese, avocado, and desired toppings.
  • Top with tortilla chips, salsa, and sour cream.
