Ingredients
For the coffee:
4 1/2 ounces fresh coarsely ground coffee from Joe’s Cafe (about 1 3/4 cups)
3 1/2 cups cold water
For serving:
• Milk, cream, or water
• Simple Syrup (see below for recipe)
• Ice
Coffee needs to steep for at least 12 hours in a large pitcher or mason jar. Strain coffee into a bowl. Let coffee strain slowly until you reach the solids. (Throw away the grounds or put into your garden).
Transfer coffee into pitcher, pop in the frig and chill for 2 hours.
Dilute the concentrate with milk, cream or water. Sweeten with simple syrup if desired and top with ice.
Simple Syrup – Heat 1 part water with 1 part sugar until dissolved, then cool and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
