Avocado Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread (sturdy bread, thicker slice. Bread of choice, can be gluten free)
  • ½ medium size avocado
  • 1 pinch sea salt (coarse or fine grain)
  • freshly ground black pepper (optional, but recommended)
  • 1 squeeze lime or lemon juice (optional)
  • optional: your favorite toppings 

Instructions

  • Slice the bread, toast it and (optionally) rub with a raw clove of garlic.
  • Cut open your avocado, scoop brown bits out. Smell and taste your avocado to make sure it is not off (not likely, but just to be sure). Now mash it in a bowl. Add some salt to it and optionally black pepper and/or lime juice and mix.
  • Spread avocado mash on the toasted bread.
  • Eat as it is or top with either above mentioned or your own choice of toppings. Eat immediately so your toast is still crunchy! Enjoy!
